| Foundational Principles of the Kingdom Dominion Finance Conference and Alliance
Law of First Mention God’s First Mention Is His Last Intention!
I. Dominion: Genesis 1:26 - 28 (NKJV) 26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
It is imperative that the Kingdom of God, which is His Rule and His Reign, have preeminence in the world or world system.
Preeminence: surpassing others, outstanding, excellent, distinguished, eminent (well-known, prominent, famous), inimitable (unique, matchless, one and only), unequaled, and incomparable.
Kingdom comes from two words: it means the dominion of Kings.
King: is one who rules and reigns. To Rule: a principle to which an action is required to conform.
Dominion: is having sovereign control (authority, a power or right to enforce obedience)
Dominion: râdâh raw-daw' that is to subjugate; make to have dominion, prevail against, reign, make to rule, over), take.
Subjugate: to bring somebody, especially a people or nation, under the control of another.
We must take dominion over every area of our life. We must become the boss over our lives and begin to rule over every aspect of our life.
We must identify the blueprint of God for Kingdom building. This is done by using the “Law of first mention.” This is the original purpose of the creator.
God tells us that we are created in His image and His likeness and He commands that we take dominion.
Initially dominion was given to us, but now it is something that we must take for ourselves.
What is the enterprise that God has entrusted or given you stewardship over? It might be your family, your job, a business maybe even you yourself. More times than not we inhibit our own progress by speaking negatively about the dream or vision that God has entrusted within you or I.
Gen. 1:26-28 is the first place that God spoke to mankind about having dominion!
The Dominion Covenant: Gen. 1:26 –says to, make man after our likeness and image, and let them have dominion. (Have: take action, possess)
It is interesting that prior to the fall we were given dominion as a possession and post fall we now must take dominion.
Image is nature or appearance. Likeness is character. God operates in the super-natural dimension. Super-natural means: to exceed what we see in the natural or the tangible world or system.
This is the sphere where God dwells. That is why God is unlimited, He has no capacity. Whatever He needs He creates by His spoken word. God lives in a world or system that exceeds the natural world. We want you to begin to see that the world is a system. The world is a system that is put in place to control or rule natural resources. That is why God created the earth first then He created a system with natural laws to govern the resources in the earth. He then placed man in charge of the system to control those resources.
At the fall man not only lost the natural resources, but he abdicated ruler-ship or control over the system that governed the resources, thereby allowing a satanic system to come in place and rule that which man was created to control.
How do we take dominion?
We were created in the image, nature and likeness or character of God; therefore we also have an unlimited capacity just like God. The difference is that we get access to the super-natural realm through God. By speaking the words of God to create what God wants or desires for us through Him.
Since God lives or dwells in the super-natural world or sphere He cannot take dominion in the natural world. We are His agency that He placed in the natural world that He uses to influence the systems that operate within the world.
He created a being which is human to be His agency within the natural world to dominate, rule and govern on His behalf. We are the stewards over that which belongs to God. We cannot own that which we did not create, therefore we serve at His pleasure over that which He created.
This is why we must have at least a basic understanding of the spirit world or system and a working knowledge of the natural world or system in order to have dominion over what God has created. As God’s agents we are commanded to have and to take dominion. God never creates in the lesser. His intention is and has always been to create in the superior.
That’s why the mentality to just make it, to just get by and to live paycheck to paycheck never suits us or is a suit that never fits us. This is why it is so disturbing to us to do without. This is why men and women are driven to do things which are illegal just to have the things that others possess.
God doesn’t mind us having things, what bothers God is when things have us.
The world’s system must be under our feet. We must rule the world with our thoughts and not allow the world’s system to rule us.
This principle of dominion is why each of us hates being told what to do. We where created to rule and to govern. The difference for us is that we learn submission through the precepts and principles of God.
As a man thinks so he is. We live out of our thoughts. If you have lack in your life, examine your thoughts. What thoughts are pre-occupying your mind? What are the mechanisms that filter your thoughts?
The Process of Taking Dominion!
Genesis 1:28(NKJV) Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Genesis 1:28(GWT) God blessed them and said, “Be fertile, increase in number, fill the earth, and be its master. Rule the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that crawl on the earth.”
Genesis 1:28(NLT) Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”
God blessed them male and female with the same blessing, He blessed them.
Dominion means to take authority!
This is the formula for taking dominion: Be Fruitful: pârâh paw-raw bring forth (fruit), (be, cause to be, make), grow, increase. Multiply: râbâh raw-baw increase (in whatever respect):—[bring in] abundance be in authority, enlarge, excel, exceeding be full of, increase abundance, be in authority, enlarge, and increase. Fill the Earth (Replenish): mâlê’ mâlâ’ maw-lay', maw-law to fill or be full of,—accomplish, confirm, fulfil, (be, become) [over-] flow, replenish, satisfy. Subdue: kâbash kaw-bash to conquer, subjugate, and bring into subjection.
God commands that we: 1. Be fruitful 2. Multiply 3. Replenish 4. Subdue
These are the building blocks of dominion. The first thing you must do in taking dominion is to be fruitful. But the initial or foundational principle is “having all things in common.”
Acts 2:40(NKJV) And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” Acts 2:41(NKJV) Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. Acts 2:42(NKJV) And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Acts 2:43(NKJV) Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. Acts 2:44(NKJV) Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, Acts 2:45(NKJV) and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.
We won’t take dominion by only saying I rebuke the devil, satan get away from my stuff.
Dominion comes only when you are productive (for channels) in your thought patterns. You cannot change your personal economy by always sowing into someone else’s economy.
II. Holy Nation: Exo 19:5 (NKJV) 'Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. Exo 19:6 (NKJV) ‘and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel." Exo 19:7 (NKJV) So Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before them all these words which the LORD commanded him. Exo 19:8 (NKJV) Then all the people answered together and said, "All that the LORD has spoken we will do." So Moses brought back the words of the people to the LORD.
Hosea 2:23 (NKJV) Then I will sow her for Myself in the earth, And I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; Then I will say to those who were not My people, 'You are My people!' And they shall say, 'You are my God!'
1 Peter 2:9 - 10 (NKJV) 9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
Thus says the Lord: 1 Pet 2:9 (NASB) But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God's OWN POSSESSION, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 1 Pet 2:10 (NASB) for you once were NOT A PEOPLE, but now you are THE PEOPLE OF GOD; you had NOT RECEIVED MERCY, but now you have RECEIVED MERCY.
1 Pet 2:9 (TLB) ... for you have been chosen by God himself--you are priests of the King, you are holy and pure, you are God's very own--all this so that you may show to others how God called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Pet 2:10 (TLB) once you were less than nothing; now you are God's own. Once you knew very little of God's kindness; now your very lives have been changed by it.
1 Pet 2:9 (AMP) But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God's] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfection's of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. 1 Pet 2:10 (AMP) Once you were not a people [at all], but now you are God's people; once you were unpited, but now you are pited and have received mercy. In a kingdom the kings word is sovereign, the final word. Whatever the king speaks goes unquestioned. We are governed by the Kings law or our constitution the Bible; and are under the authority or the governorship of the Holy Spirit.
Rom 8:19 (NKJV) for the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. Rom 8:21 (NKJV) because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
The people of God must become the standard that is desperately needed in the world today. There are no answers coming from the worlds governments. Therefore the only answers will be from the Kingdom of Heaven God’s government and from a people who know their God, trust their God and have eyes to see and an ear to hear. The kingdom of God must be made manifest in the earth and in our individual lives.
III. Deliver a Kingdom to God: 1 Corinthians 15:24 (NKJV) Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.
The Kingdom of God must be preached: What is the kingdom of God? A kingdom is a place where a king rules. The kingdom of God is wherever God reigns over the lives of His subjects. The kingdom of God is not visible because God is not visible. It is a spiritual kingdom, Jesus Christ said "For indeed the kingdom of God is within you.”Luke 17:21 NKJ
In the Lord's Prayer Jesus shows us the priority he gave to the kingdom of God. He petitioned or prayed to the Father "Your kingdom come. "Your will be done on the earth as it is in heaven" Mat. 6:10
The Kingdom of God will come on the earth in all its fullness and in its glory when the will of God is respected here as it is in heaven, when the visible world totally reflects the invisible world. Wherever there are those who honor Jesus Christ, the King, and wherever the spirit of the King is, there is the Kingdom of God.
Everyone talks about economic recovery for the world’s economy. But, the only real recovery that will have an everlasting effect will come about when the people of God stand up and preach the kingdom of God as it applies to the individual and to the world at large. Just imagine if Matthew 7:12 was in full application “...whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them..."
The time has come for “kingdom philosophy” to be the foundation of every system starting with and going much further than prayer in schools. The reason why America as a nation was able to expand and mature faster in such a short period of time in history then any other was because she was founded on a strong moral fiber. And under guarded with a strong spiritual foundation; when a society’s under-current of morality becomes so loose and so weak the very foundation to which it was established is in jeopardy.
The further advancement of the kingdom of God must start in education we will then produce Godly bankers, doctors, lawyers, politicians and corporate magnets. The movers and shakers will be moving the devil out of the way and shaking the very gates of hell. Having a calling of God on your life doesn't always mean to the pulpit.
God must have first priority in your life. He said in His word first seek the Kingdom and all things will be added unto you. Therefore, the kingdom of God must first be established in the church. The kingdom is not contained in any particular church or denomination. But the church, the ecclesia, those called out of and into for a very specific purpose is within God’s Kingdom.
This is not the church as we know it today. But the church that Jesus envisioned and gave birth to on Calvary at the cross. It is the church that will be, and is being judged first. 1 Pet 4:17 (NKJV) for the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?
If the church is to be the standard of Christ that is set in the earth, then we must realize the truths of the kingdom are only perceived by those who are humble. No one who is proud will ever gain anything from God, because James 4:6 says "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." Those who are humble receive the grace of God and are given the secrets of the kingdom. Jesus said in Matthew 5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit (the humble at heart), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus also said: Luke 19:13(KJV) And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
(ASV) Trade ye herewith till I come.
(KJV) Occupy till I come.
(NKJV) Do business till I come.
(AMP) Buy and sell with these while I go and then return.
Occupy: is a word that means to busy oneself with trade, to take military possession of a strategic position. It also means to keep busy or to engage.
The Lord would have us to occupy every place of authority and every corridor of power and influence within the world. This means that we are to take dominion and to dominate the financial markets, the education systems, the political arena, the medical system and the world of entertainment. We are commanded through God’s original commandment to have dominion and through Jesus’ statement to “occupy until He comes” to take over any system that is empowered to influence the thoughts and behavior of people.
This cannot be done from inside of the walls of a church. The kingdom of God must engage and enlarge its influence and impact on the world. This will only be accomplished through a people whose minds have been cleansed with the gospel of the Kingdom and whose intent is to take dominion!
